Rewind to August 2019 to a crop circle at the heart of England’s countryside. Our chief Justin Deighton hooked up with Julian D Brown AKA “The Firestarter”. They collaborated with six of the most revered chefs from London’s restaurant scene for a one-off open-air six course tasting menu.
Set amongst the backdrop of stretch tents and sunsets, this banquet was inspired by pagan fire festivals. Paired with Two Tribes beer, each course was served with a curated music track. No-one at the time had any idea that this experience was to become a much talked about “were you there” moment. The music, the food and the atmosphere were second to none and from this moment Campfire was ignited.
Campfire London is the love child of that first open fire event, now a unique live fire-cooking and fermentation freight container venue in the heart of London. Part community hub, part entertainment space, the bar is centred around an open-fire pit where live-fire chefs serve up food to a backdrop for visiting DJs and musicians, many of whom are resident at the recording studios and record labels located nearby. It’s a brewery taproom experience unlike any other.
