DJ Workshops > A Space to Learn, Connect + Create
We are proud to be sponsoring the third round of Voices Radio DJ Workshops which is kicking off tonight in Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross.
This workshop series is aimed at uplifting, upskilling, and empowering groups who have been historically underrepresented in the music industry. This round aims to upskill aspiring POC/Global Majority DJs.
The cohort is facilitated by DJ PRIYA who will lead, teach, support and mentor them as they develop their new skills. The workshops give participants a chance to make friends and network with likeminded individuals - while enjoying a few Two Tribes beers.
In the first session, workshop participants went through some of the basics of DJing like track selection, beat matching, EQs - while deep diving into making their first blends.
Workshops will continue as they lead up to their Voices Radio takeover in September, and their first live club set at Two Tribes CAMPFIRE.
We recently hosted the students from the second Voices Radio DJ Workshops at CAMPFIRE, who performed to a packed afterwork venue on a Friday night. For many of the students, this was the first time performing in front of the public.
Massive thanks to THEMPRESS for organising the program, Voices Radio for nurturing the community and for Kiosk N1C who provide the workshop space.
